PAMPER YOUR LINENS AND THEY’LL PAMPER YOU BACK.

HERE ARE A FEW WAYS TO GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR BEDDING.

Be Gentle: Machine wash on delicate with similar colors and with cold water.

Keep it Natural: Use a natural or plant based laundry detergent as chemical whiteners and bleaching agents may deteriorate the quality of the patterns and colors of your linens.

Dry it Right: Drying your sheets right can drastically improve their softness and comfort. So air dry or tumble dry on low, while avoiding fabric softeners and dryer sheets as they reduce the absorbency of the cotton. We recommend using wool dryer balls to reduce drying time and cut down on static.

Stains Don’t Have to Stay: Baking soda is back to save the day (and your sheets). Simply dab on a mixture of baking soda and water onto the stain and leave it to dry naturally. Then, brush off the residue and put your linens into the washer.

Some more care tips:

1) We recommend having more than one bedding set and rotating between them to avoid excessive wear and tear.

2) Wash your linens regularly – dirt and sweat can break down fibers and damage the fabric.

3) Don’t wash with clothing – clasps, zippers, hooks, etc. can cause tears and abrasions.

4) Don’t use or store your wet or damp linens as this could result in excess moisture and the growth of mildew.

5) We’re all for cuddles with our furry friends, just be sure to trim their nails regularly, as they could cause rips and tears in your sheets.

MONSOON + CHAI CARE

Keep the wick trimmed to about 5mm at all times. This is done to avoid any soot accumulation on the wick of your candle. For efficient scent diffusion, allow your candle to burn until the wax pool reaches the edges of the glass.
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times. Always burn the candle on an even, fire resistant surface. Ideally extinguish the candle with a snuffer, or dip the wick into the melted wax and then straighten it to prevent smoking and hot wax from splattering. Avoid blowing out.
Do not allow the candle to burn down completely to the bottom of the container, leave about 1/2 inch of wax. When your candle reaches this point, it is time to get a new one!

JANAVI INDIA CARE

We at Janavi India know that at times stains and pilling can happen to your favorite wool and cashmere pieces. Here are a few tips and tricks to keep in mind when caring for your special pieces.
In case of stains, use cold water, the tiniest bit of mild detergent, and a Q-tip to gently rub out any discoloration. If a stain is more severe, we advise taking it to the dry cleaner. Be sure to tell the cleaner what caused the stain—this will aid in their treatment plan.
Never wash your pieces with hot water- this will lead to shrinking and possible damage.
And, in case of occasional pilling, use a sweater comb to brush away. Avoid being rough, but do use a bit of pressure when combing. Our merino and cashmere pieces are made of natural fibers that shed during normal wear. With routine combing your product will remain beautiful and become even softer in the process.
